NHL coach and scout. E.J. McGuire was an assistant coach in the NHL with the Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators. He was also a head coach in the minor leagues. In 2002, McGuire began working at the NHL's Central Scouting Bureau as assistant director. He became director of the Bureau in 2005, and continued in that position until 2011.
