Viola C. Absher
KANNAPOLIS -- Viola Campbell Absher, 82, 4740 Irish Potato Road, died Tuesday (April 22, 2003) at her home.
Born Sept. 19, 1920, Mrs. Absher was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle Reeves McKinley. She retired as a spinner from Cannon Mills Plant 8 and was a minister with the Church of God of the Bible.
Survivors include son Robert W. Campbell, Richfield; daughters Judy King, Augusta, Ga., Janie Davidson and Vonda Gray, both of Kannapolis, and Faye Honeycutt, Concord; brothers Claude Absher, McGrady, Charles Absher, Millers Creek, and Wayne Absher, Ferguson; sisters Betty McGuire and Brenda Williams, both of North Wilkesboro, Claudean Burch, Chapel Hill, Sallie Key, Moravian Falls, and Ann Shepherd, Lindsborg, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Whitley's Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Plato Shepherd. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home on Irish Potato Road.
Memorials: Rowan Regional Home Health and Hospice, 825-A W. Henderson St., Salisbury, NC 28144.
