Thomas Bredwell, sixth child of Yelventon Bredwell and Catherine Collins (Bredwell). Bredwell was born June 3, 1802 in Bracken County, KY. He died at the residence of his son-in-law, John D. Phillips on the Bethel and Felicity Pike one mile south of Bethel, Friday, December 25, 1891, age 89 years, 6 months, 22 days. When 4 or 6 years of age, his father moved to Ohio with him, settling in Tate Township, but in 1814, his father died and his mother was married to Oakly Van Osdol. On the 27th or 28th of December, Mr. Tom Bredwell married Miss Mary Willis, 6th child of Henry Willis and Mary Dean (Willis) and for 47 years they lived together. She died December 16, 1867. Of this union were born 15 children; 3 sons and 8 daughters are living, 48 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren.
