Mary Etta McKenzie is my great grandmother on my mother's side. She was born in Warsaw, Benton County, Missouri.

Her parents are John Green McKenzie and Elizabeth Jane 'Jennie' Varner McKenzie.
She had six brothers: James WIlliam, Daniel Ervin, George E., Frank Marion, Alonzo 'Lon' Charles and Raleigh/Rollie.
When she was 20 years old, she married Allen Reams, August 6, 1899 in Warsaw.
The next year, the first baby was born to the couple. They lived and worked on their farm in Missouri, and then moved to Chickasaw County, Iowa to farm.

Mary Etta and Allen's children were: Clara Isabell, Allan LeRoy Reams, Juanita Opal (my grandmother), Blanche Hilda, Virginia Adina, Lester Raymond and Geraldine.
After Geraldine was born, for whatever reason, Mary Etta divorced Allen on August 9th, 1921 in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Eight months later, she then married a man named William Baker April 1st, 1922 in Waterloo. That marriage lasted 7 years, and they divorced.

Mary Etta married once more, to R. Z. Manuel Clements, who was a widower.
She and R.Z. were very happy and stayed married for the next 36 years, until she passed away in 1965.
R.Z. passed away in 1966. They are buried in the Clements family plot.
