Kenneth Alan Dea was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America to Caroline G. and Robert A. Dea on 10 March 1934. He was the oldest of four children, two sisters Carol and Lorna, and a brother Robert. Upon completing his initial schooling Kenneth went to Williams College in the United States but found that was not to his liking. From 1953 to 1958 he went on to the Royal Canadian Air Force where this would become the start of a career in aviation. He did become a pilot for over half of his life first flying the Harvard Mk IV, C-45 Beech Expeditor, Canadair T-33 Silver Star, and Canadair F-86 Sabre MK V in the RCAF. In September 1954 he married the former Frances Ann Swoboda. They moved to Mexico City, Mexico where he worked for Bristol Aviation at the end of the 1950's and beginning 1960's. From 1963 to 1967 he then flew and sold Beechcraft aircraft as a sales representative in South America. During 1967 and 1968 he was a commercial airline pilot flying the Boeing 727-100 series aircraft for World Airways, residing in California. From 1968 to 1973 he flew the Boeing 727-100 & 200 series aircraft as a First Officer for Japan Airlines residing in Tokyo, Japan. From the end of 1973 to October 1975 he flew the Boeing 727-100 & 200 series aircraft as a Captain for IRAN AIR while residing in Tehran, Iran. He suffered fatal injuries when hit by a passing vehicle after he had come out of his home to offer aid after a collision outside the gate of his home during the early morning hours. Kenneth Dea was the father of Robert, Janice, Kenneth, and Margaret Jean Dea. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter Margaret Jean and his father. He is interred next to his parents Robert A. Dea (1971) and Caroline G. Dea (1994).
