Phillip Dennis Bosarge, Sr -age 60 -A native and lifelong resident of South Mobile County, AL, died at his residence on April 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Henry Bosarge and his mother, Rallie Roberson Bosarge. He is survived by his wife, Sandra McWhirter Bosarge, sons, Phillip D. Bosarge Jr. (Lisa) and Johnny W. Bosarge (Dianna), daugh-ters, Lisa Irwin (Scott) and Amber Herrera, grand-children, Casey, Cody, Jordan, Cassie and Braden, brothers, Ronald "Buddy" Bosarge (Christine) and Ricky Bosarge (Linda), sisters, Mary Seaman (Vernon) and Belinda Cates (Austin), former wife, Beverly J. McKinney, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Phillip was a commercial fisherman and seafood processor. He worked hard at his trade and overcame a physical disability caused by polio, as well as a vehicle accident as a child. He was known for his strength and endurance despite his handicap. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 12 noon at Zirlott Road United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until service time. Interment will follow at Dorlon Cemetery.
