George was the second son of Daniel Crider and Sarah Ann Mariah Atkins, About 1860, George moved to eastern Maries Co., MO. with his father's family. After his marriage, George initially made his home in Maries County and Osage Conty. The 1910 Enumeration of Osage County indicates that George and his family were living in the area of Chamois near Creek Road. Later the family moved to the area of Jefferson City, Missouri, area for short periods. Records indicate that about 1925, the family moved to near Wardell, Little River Twp., Pemiscot, Missouri; in the 'Boot Heel' section of the state. He lived in this area forthe remainder of his life where he was a cotton farmer.

The Old Wardell Cemetery where George is buried was a plot of land that a local farmer in that area gave to the town for the purpose of a cemetery. George has no headstone. There are no records of the spot of burial for George and many others are buried there also.
