In a bio of Capt. Wiley Polk Renwick, it is stated that Wiley came to Louisiana to be with his brother who we assume to be the Doctor L.A. Renwick, a native of South Carolina, who settled in Georgia when a young man. L.A. remained there until toward the close of his life, then settling in Bastrop, Louisiana, a few years prior to his death, where he had continued his professional labor.
