PHILLIP CREWS DIES AT HOME
Phillip Payton Crews, 77, retired Redding teamster, died yesterday at his home, on Pine Street here.
Crews was born on February 10, 1866, in Missouri. He had resided in Redding for the past 48 years. He was a teamster and trucking operator here for many years.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mae Crews, of Redding; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Young of San Antonio, Tex.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald's Chapel with Reading Masonic lodge No. 254, of which he was a member, conducting the service. Cremation will follow at Eastlawn, Sacramento.
An undated obituary was received from the McDonald Chapel, of Redding, California, in 2001.
