She was a native of Effingham County and retired from Southern Bell. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, the Charity Circle and the Pioneers of America.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Jacquline Bevill of Rincon; a stepdaughter, Barbara Ann Tant of Alpharetta; a stepson, Stephen Whiten of Lake Forest Ill.; four sisters, Mattie Thomas, Mary Danley, Nellie Arnsdorff, and Clara Freyermuth, all of Springfield; two brothers, James Arnsdorff of Clyo and G.L. Arnsdorff of Springfield; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 4:30 p.m. today at Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel, burial in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
