Katie Lloyd Hennig was the daughter of Mary McGrory Lloyd Barnett and Patrick Lloyd. She was born in Manhattan during the great blizzard of 1888 and had at least 6 siblings. As a teenager, she worked in a pickle factory. She married Louis Hennig in 1910. She and Louis had 9 children and they lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, New York. The names of her children are Florence, May, Theresa, Charles, Helen, Loretta, Mildred, Dororthy and Louis (Walter). She passed away in March 1959 in her Bayside, Queens, New York City apartment.
