Charles Persons dead Telegram received by his sister, Mrs. Blackington, today. The telegram was received this morning by Mrs. C. A. Blackington of Flint township, from the state of North Dakota, to the effect that her brother, Charles Persons had been killed there. No particulars were given other than the body will be sent to Flint for internment.
Mr. Persons, in the company with his wife, went west less than three weeks ago, Mr. Persons having accepted a position with a telephone company. Just where he was located at the time of his death is not known at present. The deceased was 38 years of age and for the past four years had had his home in Vernon township. He was married 4 or 5 years ago and was about 41 years old.

The body of Charles Persons whose death occurred near Dickerson, North Dakota, Monday, was taken to Vernon the services being held this morning, Reverend Tripp pastor of the M.E. church officiating. It is supposed that Mr. Persons who was an employee of a Bell telephone company was a victim of apoplexy.

Charles Persons, who was working with Charlie Wiley's telephone crew west, was stricken with apoplexy Monday soon after dinner and died at six o'clock. His wife, who was cooking for the crew, and little daughter, with C.H. Wiley, accompanied the remains to Dickinson Tuesday and Mrs. Persons and daughter took the body Wednesday to their old home in Vernon, Michigan. Deceased was forty-eight years old and a member of the order of Gleaners. [Published in "The Dickinson Press," June 16, 1906, Dickinson, Stark Co, North Dakota.)
