Services Held For Mrs. Alice Dugro
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Dugro, 61m who died Sunday at 6 a.m. in Lott hospital in Livingston following a long illness were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church here yesterday morning at 10:30, with Rev. Fr. P. C. Wolframski officiating Rosary, was recited by Rev. Fr. John Linehan Tuesday evening at the Frazen mortuary in Livingston.
Music was by Mrs. Lois Thompson, accompanied by Mrs. Ethel Dugro. Pallbearers were Joe Morstein, Phillip Langston, Jesse Langston, Thorvald Anderson Spike Van Cleve and James Nelson of Livingston. Burial was in Mountain View.
Mrs. Dugro was born in Billings May 23, 1885. She came to Melville with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Van Cleve Sr., in 1886, when the Van Cleves purchased the old "Butte Ranch" at the foot of Porcupine butte. Mrs. Dugro gained considerable fame as a 9oung woman for her riding abilities-- participating in bucking, rac8ng and relay contests in this area. She lived at Melville and Big Timber until about 15 years ago when she went to Livingston to live with her only son, Phillip H. Dugro.
Her husband, Charles H. Dugro of New York, whom she married at the Van Cleve ranch in 1904, died shortly after World war 1 of wounds received in battle.
Survivors besides her son are a brother Paul L. Van Cleve Jr., of Big Timber; two sisters; Dora Langston of Bozeman and Phyllis Church of Livingston' and a granddaughter, Donna Durgo also of Livingston.
