Marie I. Neisel, age 93, of East Sparta, passed away Friday morning in St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville. She was born in Dellroy, a daughter of the late George and Mary Kelley Hoobler, and had been an East Sparta resident since 1955. Marie was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, William E. Neisel, on Feb. 22, 1974, a son, William R. Neisel, on Jan. 14, 1987, a daughter, Beverly Yeagley, on Nov. 26, 2002, and a brother and sister, Alvin Hoobler and Blanche Neisel. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Neisel, of Magnolia; a daughter-in-law, Gerri (John) Thompson, of East Sparta; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Neisel's memory may be made to East Sparta United Methodist Church.
