Myrtle M Smith
Myrtle Ella McConnell Smith, 64, of Decatur, GA, died Thursday, August 2, in Decatur. She was a native of Macon County, a daughter of Mrs Elmira Rogers McConnell and the late Raleigh McConnell.
Surviving, in addition to the mother, are four brothers, Ralph, Fred, and Claude McConnell, all of California and Ted McConnell of Atlanta, GA; and five sisters, Mrs Oma Winstead of Scaly Mountain, Miss Nellie McConnell and Mrs Blanche Womack, both of Franklin, Mrs Grace Frizzell of Robbinsville, and Mrs Gertrude West of Groton, Conn.
Graveside rites were conducted Monday, August 6, at Scaly Mountain Methodist Church, the Rev C E Murray officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Bryant Funeral Home.
