Mrs. Belle Brassfield Dies At Topeka
Mrs. Belle Brassfield, 79, the mother of L.L. Brassfield, city, died Monday evening at a Topeka hospital. The body is at Kinsley chapel pending arrival of children from the west coast.
Mrs. Brassfield was born along the banks of the Republic river in Kansas and was preceded in death by her husband, Grant W. Brassfield.
Survivors include her children, L.L. Brassfield, city; Carl F. Brassfield, Westwood, Calif.; Mrs. Aline Arnold, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Marie Keller, St. Joseph, Mo.; and three sisters and a brother: Mrs. Edna Jackson, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Carl Flitch, Concordia; Mrs. Jesse Metcalf, Concordia; and Walter Brooks, Jamestown.
Funeral arrangements are pending, but burial will be in the cemetery at Beloit.

Mrs. Grant Brassfield Dies Monday, Services Will Be Announced
Mrs. Grant Brassfield, former Marysville resident, died Monday, August 13, 1951, at Topeka. The remains are at the Kinsley Mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending the arrival of relatives from California. A son, Lloyd Brassfield, is a resident of Marysville.

Mrs. Jessie Metcalf and Virgil, Mrs. Henry Bray, Mrs. Karl Flitch and Dean drove to Marysville last Friday morning to attend funeral services for Mrs. Belle Brassfield. Mrs. Brassfield was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Brooks, early pioneer residents of Cloud county, and the sister of Walter O. Brooks, Mrs. Jessie Metcalf, and Mrs. Karl Flitch.
Also attending the service were her children: Carl of Hollywood, Cal.; Mrs. Irv Arnold of Pasadena, Cal.; Mrs. Lee Keller of St. Joseph, Mo.; and Lloyd of Marysville.
Graveside services were held at Beloit Saturday afternoon
