Dad worked all his life in woodworking. He worked very hard to support his family. Never taking a day off. When he had a day off he spent his time with his family doing family things. He loved to go on day trips such as Gettysburg or just a picnic along a beautiful stream. He loved spending time with siblings when they came to our home. He was very close to his sister Delores. They were about the same age. Delores as we call her Dut would come down to our home and we would go picking berries and take long walks. He always had a good time when she came. He loved to joke around with her. She would get him back. They laugh together a lot. He loved to fish and hunt on his time off. Also loved to go to North Carolina to see his brother George's sister in law. Her name was Nettie. We loved to stay at her 100 + house. It was way back in the woods.

When dad didn't spend time with us he was working on making doll furniture. He made really nice things. Cradles, high chairs, cribs, potty chairs, cabbage patch chairs. He always made these and sold them to stores such as Rebman's and a store in Bird in Hand. He worked his butt off to give us a really nice Christmas, Easter and other important days. We always were supported. Never went hungry. He always made sure we were safe and provided for.

His last breath to me was, take care of your mom and sisters. On his dying wish he wanted me to take him off life support. He smiled when he told me to do so. This was the smile he had on his face when he died.

SPECIAL NOTE TO YOU DAD: Dad we all love you and miss you very much, but we know we all will be together again. Until then watch over us and direct us into a good direction.
