Oscar Larkin Akins, 78, of De Soto, died Saturday (Nov. 13, 2004) at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.
He was a dairy farmer and a member of First Baptist Church of De Soto. He served in the Navy in World War II.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of De Soto. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto.
Among survivors are three sons: Oscar Akins, Ron Akins and Mark Akins, all of De Soto; two daughters, Bryanna Alexander and Mary Zerillo of Liberty, Mo.; a sister, Clara Lanteigne of De Soto; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
