Arthur, 73, formally of Shakopee, entered God's arms Jan 21, 2010 at the Central Health Care of Le Center in Le Center, MN. Born Nov 14, 1936 in Shakopee, he was the son of Peter and Catherine (Meier) Schmidt.
He is loved and will be missed by siblings, Harold Schmidt of Shakopee, Alex (Darlene) Schmidt of Shakopee, Robert Schmidt of Marystown, Marie (Francis) Bisek of New Prague and Paul (Lavina) Schmidt of Shakopee; other family and friends. Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, and 7 siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Jan 25 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior to the Mass, all at the Church of St Mark, Shakopee. The Rev. Timothy Norris officiated. Interment at the St Mark/Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements made by Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Shakopee.
