COLUMBIA — Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Smith, 65, of Columbia were at 11 a.m. today at the Columbia Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Virgil Wilson and the Rev. T. O. Arrington officiating.
Burial followed in Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Mrs. Smith died Monday at Columbia Heights Hospital here after a brief illness.
Survivors include one son, William B. Smith of Lake Charles; one sister, Mrs. Merle Downey of Columbia; three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Elbert Lee Pauley, Jarvis Tarver, Lance Arthurs, E. R. Haddox, James Adams and Glen Nethery.
