Alvin Knode Hersberger, 68, RR 3, Box 303, Anderson, died at 11 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital. Mr. Hersberger was born Dec. 18, 1891, and was the son of Milton and Mollie Knode Hersberger. He had spent all of his life in this vicinity. Mr. Hersberger, an employee of the Lynch Corp., was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge of Anderson and the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite Consistory at Indianapolis.
Surviving are the widow, Estella May; a son, Robert A. Hersberger, Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Henning and Mrs. Bernice Seipel, both of Anderson, and two brothers, Milton Hersberger, Port Clinton, Ohio and Esmond Hersberger, Chicago, Ill.
Friends are being received at the Baker Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Siner of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
