She was born Freddie C. Elza on March 28, 1938 in Belton, Texas, a daughter of the late Jesse Herbert Elza and Ella Lou Gauntt Elza. She grew up in Bolton and graduated from high school there. On July 5, 1957 she married Winston "Jinks" Aldridge in Kermit and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2000. She lived in Ozona from 1964-1986 when she moved to Santa Anna. She moved to Coleman in 2002 and to San Angelo in 2006 where she resided at the St. Angelus Assisted Living Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Community Baptist Church in Coleman.
Survivors include two sons, Vaden R. Aldridge and wife Kim of Christoval and Varlyn K. Aldridge of Big Lake; four grandchildren, Andrea Aldridge of Houston, Jacque Rosales and husband Ruben of San Antonio, Kade Aldridge of Big Lake and Jake Aldridge of San Angelo; two great-grandchildren, Makailey Rosales and Vallyn Rosales; one brother, Sonny Elza and wife Dana of Granbury.
