Mrs. Hunter Sipe Dies At Hospital

Funeral Services At McGaheysville On Wednesday

Mrs. Nellie Sipe, wife of Hunter S. Sipe, and a well known resident of McGaheysville, died yesterday morning at 6:30 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since February. She had been in failing health for a number of years.

Mrs. Sipe was a daughter of Clinton Hensley and the late Annie Shook Hensley, and was formerly a teacher in the schools of Rockingham and Albemarle counties.

Mrs. Sipe was a faithful member of the McGaheysville Methodist Church, and a woman whose patient, cheerful and unselfish disposition won her friends by the hundreds.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Hunter G. Sipe of Elkton; and Charles Sipe, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Laurie Lam, of Elkton; and Mrs. Pearle Wilson of Flagstaff, Arizona; three brothers, Ted and Crosson Hensley, of San Francisco, California; and Harold Hensley of Fairfax; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the McGaheysville Methodist Church Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. Walter G. Bangle, assisted by the Rev. S.E. Madren, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at McGaheysville Cemetery.

The body will be removed from the Kyger Funeral Home to the late home Tuesday evening. The casket will not be opened at the church.

Pallbearers will be: Francis Jackson, N.R. Sheetz, H.H. Lilly, Leon Cook, Dennis Good, and M.P. Henkle.
