PARSONS, Kan.-The funeral for James Mark Anderson, 35, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Parsons, Kan., with the Rev Leroy Foreman officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evangelical Free Church Cemetery in Kerkhoven, Minn., with the Rev. Tom Latteral officiating. Arrangements are by Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons.
He was born June 16, 1963, in Duncan (Oklahoma) to Cecil E. and Shirley D. Wyrick Anderson and died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at Labette County Medical Center.
He attended Starkey Special School in Wichita, Kan., and in 1971 moved to Parsons State Hospital and Training Center in Parsons, (Kansas). He was awarded a certificate of attendance at the age of 21 and worked at State Hospital laundry, crafts and green house while living at Ash cottage.
He attanded church at First Baptist Church in Parsons and participated in Special Olympics and Sun Belt Rodeo.
He is survived by his parents, Cecil and Shirley Anderson of Enid; two sisters, Debra Rangel and Donna Dankert of Enid; and one brother, John Michael Anderson of Topeka, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
