DAVENPORT -- Eula Fern White, passed away early Sunday morning, Sept. 16, 2001, in Dallas, Texas. A resident of Davenport, IA for more than 50 years, she had been living near family in Dallas since May 1997.
A service to celebrate Eula's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Davenport. The Rev. David Bultemeier, a nephew of the deceased, and the Rev. Rhonda Schultz, a pastor at St. John's, will share the service. Interment will follow at Davenport Memorial Park. Werts Funeral Home, Davenport, has charge of arrangements.
The third of seven children, Mrs. White was born July 22, 1910, in Cole Township, Mo., to August and Lillie (Nave) Bultemeier. She married Hersel F. White on May 18, 1929, in Sedalia, Mo. They were married 63 years before his passing, Nov. 7, 1992, in Davenport. She retired from Devitt's Jr. Boot Shop in 1974, following 10 years as a sales associate. A member of St. John's United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, Mrs. White served with her husband as a Communion steward for 30 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Carol M. White, Addison, Texas, Cheryl M. Smith, Woodbury, Minn., and E. Imogene Edvenson, Ocala, Fla.; a son, Orley F. White, Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Mary Hake, Glendale, Ariz., David White, Nashville, Tenn., Lisa Johnson, Glendale, Ariz., Barbara Ulbricht, Dallas, Martha Albers, Arlington, Texas, Kenneth White, Dallas, Sherry Williams, Weston, Fla., Michael Martin, Duluth, Minn, Sue Kelley, Davenport, IA and Roger Edvenson, Kentwood, Mich.; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Bultemeier, Avon, Ill., and Della Bultemeier, Biggsville, Ill.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her only sister, Flora Rehmer, and all five of her brothers, Kenneth Bultemeier, Hulin Bultemeier, Elmer Bultemeier, Andrew Bultemeier and Arthur Bultemeier.
