Olympic Athlete. Henry Duey won a bronze medal in weighlifting (Light Heavyweight) at the 1932 Olympics. He was the first American to win a weightlifting medal in the modern format for weighlifting competitions. The United States finished third in the team results on the strength of bronze medal performances by Henry Duey and Tony Terlazzo.

Henry Duey was born in Chicago, Illinois, but spent a majority of his life Michigan where he was employed as a Tool and Die maker for Ford and Republican Tool & Die. He was also a part-time farmer of his own land in Belleville, Michigan.
