Why the change in cemetery records?
Did you really find a record of him in Georgia?

In the Farmers' Gazette and Cheraw Advertiser, 29 May 1840 (quoted in the Darlington Flag, Vol. 6, no. 4, Fall 1994, p. 27) there appeared a notice addressed to the children of Aaron Copeland, deceased, saying that they were entitled to a share in their father's estate. Listed were
Moses, Thomas, Elisha, James, and daughters Mary Swor and Dolly Cook.
