Betty Jane L. Mellott, 81, of Needmore, PA, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at The Shook Home, Chambersburg, PA.

Betty Jane was Born in McConnellsburg, PA on June 2, 1929, the daughter of the late Roy A. and Edith (Fix) Sheeder. She was the wife of Charles A. Mellott whom she married on August 26, 1950.

She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxillary, worked at the First National Bank of McConnellsburg and was an administrative assistant at the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren in Needmore,PA for thirty-four years.

In addition to her husband, she is survivied by sons Rodney C. (husband of Christina) Mellott of Chambersburg, PA, Gregory A. Mellott of Needmore, PA, Mark A. (husband of Connie) Mellott of Warfordsburg, PA; brother LeRoy Sheeder of McConnellsburg, PA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by brother George Sheeder.

Burial will be Sunday, June 20, 2010 in the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
