I believe the newer marker photo is for another Benjamin Frye who is buried at Kankakee. The older marker photo is the one for Benjamin Fry who is Buried at Liberty Cemetery, Iroquois Co., IL. The Benjamin Fry who is buried in Iroquois Co., IL is a Revolutionary war patriot who applied for pension #R3818 and has documentation at the DAR from his widow who is also buried at Liberty Cemetery.

It is the same Benjamin. He is my fifth great grandfather. He also the fifth great grandfather for my cousin. The older gravestone was deteriorating. My cousin replaced the old stone with this one after first reaching out to the military and verifying the accuracy of the information on his headstone. The old headstone is still in Iroquois.
