Arthur Beikman

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for Arthur John "Art" Beikman of Eugene. He died Sept. 18 of age-related causes at age 89. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 4 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eugene.

Beikman was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Linn, Kan., to John and Mary Moorman Beikman. He married Dorothy Krohn on Dec. 14, 1956, in Washington County, Nebraska.

He was a foreman for Cascade Handle Co. in Eugene. He was co-owner of 4 Corners Hardware in Eugene for 21 years and later co-owned A & O Picture Framing and Crafts.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson Virgil Kuhls of Milwaukie; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A son, James "Jim" Beikman, and a daughter, Peggy Beikman, died previously.
