Helen Austin Morrow, 92, of Salina, died Friday, April 1, 2011. She was born in Salina, Jan. 4, 1919, the daughter of Leslie and Amelia (Just) Austin. After graduating from high school, she attended the Brown-Mackie School of Business. On March 18, 1939, she married James W. "Red" Morrow, in Salina.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, was active in the church sewing group, and was a member of the Alzheimer's Support Group. Her focus in life was her family and she always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. "Red" Morrow.

Survivors include a son, Jim Morrow and wife Jean, of Wichita; daughter, Margo Johnson and husband, Dave, of Salina; seven grandchildren, Tina Johnson, Danny Johnson, Andrew Morrow, Marc Morrow, Scott Morrow, Andy Snook, and Heidi Jordan; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, 122 N. 8th, Salina, with Rev. Troy Bowers officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

The family suggests memorials to the church or the Cancer Center of Kansas.
