Eugene "Nick" Nicholson, 85, of Scottsburg, Indiana died Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Blackford County Hospital in Hartford City, Indiana.

He was born July 21, 1924 in Washington County, Indiana, the son of the late Noble D. and Ruth Helen (Voyles) Nicholson.

Nick was married to Mary Dale (Breedlove) Nicholson, who died November 18, 2006.

He was a retired routeman of the old Wash-Scott Farm Bureau Co-Op in Scottsburg, Indiana for 27 years retiring in 1986.

Nick was a member and head usher of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran of W W II, a member of the Scottaburgh Masonic Lodge #572 F & AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Survivors include a daughter: Risë D. & Dr. Michael Colwell of Marion, Indiana; a son: Gordon E. Nicholson of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister: Margaret Noe of Naples, Florida; two grandchildren: Tim (Debbie) Colwell & Vickie (Kenny) Leavitt; great grandchildren: Katie & Kody Leavitt & Abbie Brown and a great great grandson: Cylas Brown. in addition to his wife, Nick was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Cravens and a great grandson: Robert Leavitt. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery. Memorial Contributions: Scottsburg United Methodist Church c/o Collins Funeral Home.
