Fred Foster Neal was the son of John Russell Neal and Ella James Neal. He was born in Temple and lived in the Rogers area most of his life. He retired from the Santa Fe Railway in 1958 because because of ill health. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rogers.
On Nov. 20, 1930 he married Ora Pearl Rigsby and had the following children: H.F. (Bootsie) Neal, Billy Fred Neal, Clara Stalmach, and Allena Kurtz.
