He retired in 1969 after having been a painter for more than 35 years. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Tall City Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Midland, three sons, Kenneth Green of Denver, Colorado, Carroll Green of Bakersfield, California, and Leroy Green of Midland; four daughters, Mrs. Dave Weeks of Midland, Mrs. W.T. Lewis of Blackwell, Mrs. Clifford Mullis of Spring and Mrs. Butch Cain of Stanton, two brothers Roy Cole of Snyder, ---rest of obituary missing---
