Graveside services for Voyal "Joe" Green of Midland will be at 10am Monday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Simpson of the Tall City Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. He died Thursday at a Midland hospital.
He was born Sep 21, 1910 in Putnam and was reared in the West Texas area. He married Ina June Raney in Clairmont on Sept 20, 1933. They lived in the Blackwell area and moved to Midland in 1950. He retired in 1969 after having been a painter for more than 35 years. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Tall City Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Midland, three sons, Kenneth Green of Denver, Colorado, Carroll Green of Bakersfield, California, and Leroy Green of Midland; four daughters, Mrs. Dave Weeks of Midland, Mrs. W.T. Lewis of Blackwell, Mrs. Clifford Mullis of Spring and Mrs. Butch Cain of Stanton, two brothers Roy Cole of Snyder, ---rest of obituary missing---
