This was the son of Floyd and Fannie Dillard Ramsey. He married Flora Browning in 1934. She preceded him in death in 1996. He died at the home of his son in Evansville, IN.

James T. "Tom" Ramsey, 88, a longtime resident of Gallatin County, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28. 2002, at the home of his son in Evansville, Ind., after an extended illness.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven with the Rev. Dennis Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. He was born in Cottonwood Jan. 2, 1914, to the late Floyd and Fannie (Dillard) Ramsey. In 1934, he married Flora (Browning) Ramsey, who preceded him in death in 1996. He was a past Gallatin County board member, past supervisor of Asbury Township and 50-year member of the Ridgway Masonic Lodge No. 816. He was a retired farmer, wonderful father and grandfather. He is survived by three sons, Tommy (Margo) Ramsey of Norris City, Joe (Pat) Ramsey of Auburn, Terry Ramsey of Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Wood of Jasper, Ga.; a brother, Clyde Ramsey of Boonville, Ind.; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, one brother, one grandchild and a daughter-in-law.
