Daughter and 4th of 9 children of Daniel Coffey and Clarissa Estes of Colletsville, NC. Great great grandniece of Daniel Boone and her nickname was "Short necked Boone". Said to totally rule the household with her strong will. The house she and her husband lived in was originally built by her parents, inherited by her and she made sure her husband kept it maintained to her satisfaction.

Sephronia and her husband were first cousins once removed.
