Fredie Harold Murphey, 69, of Malta, died Thursday afternoon March 11, at his home. He was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Morgan County, a son of Charles and Violet Duncan Murphey, and was a self-employed painter.
Mr. Murphey was a member of Bishopville Church of Christ and Morgan County Senior Citizens in McConnelsville.
Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Green; two sons, Richard K. of McConnelsville and Harold Lee of Malta; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service was held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fisher-Tatman Funeral home. Evangelist John Wright officiated. Burial was in Malta Cemetery.
