AVILLA — DOROTHY OWEN ANDERSON, 86, of Avilla died Friday Feb 6, 2010 at Parkview Noble Hosptial in Kendallville. Mrs Anderson was a lifetime Noble County resident.
She was a homemaker and dairly farmer. She served assecretary for the American Breeder Service and had owned the Aldrich Motel.
She was born March 16, 1923 in Allen County to Dale V and Lottie L (Fitch) Kistler. She married Ted Owen on Dec 28, 1940, in Noble County. He died in 1964. She then married Howard Anderson and he died in 2005.
Surviving are two sons; two daughters; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Ann Owen; a sister, Marilyn Gay; and a brother, Ronald Kistler.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Homes in Nappanee is in charge of arrangements.
