At age 85, passed away quietly at home on Friday, December 3, 2010, in Worthington, Ohio. Jim is now resting in peace with his Savior, Jesus. Born November 26, 1925, to James F. and Vera M. (Hayes) Booton in Columbus, Ohio. Following high school Jim honorably served his country in the Navy in the Pacific Theatre in World War II. Upon his return home he spent many cherished years working for the Singer Sewing Machine Company in Columbus. Later in life he spent 17 years living and working in Memphis, Tennessee, first with Singer then with Shelby County Court Systems. He made many new friends while in Memphis. Upon his return to Columbus, he spent the later years of his life working in his beloved sewing machine business. Jim will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends who all look forward to reuniting with him in Heaven. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents.
