They had three children, Virginia Gladys, Donald Gerald and Margherita. Margherita was married to Eugene W Goodrich and they both died in Los Angeles.

CAMMERON, W. Va., Jan 13 – Police tonight wrote a "murder and suicide" into reports on the fatal shooting of Mrs. Buelah Cooper, wealthy 50-year-old widow and prominent Republican leader, O. J. Prunty, a former congressional candidate who lived at Mrs. Cooper's mansion.
Mrs. Cooper's body, a bullet wound in the chest, was found huddled near the front entrance of her large south side home. Prunty's body was found on the kitchen floor, near a .32-caliber revolver. He was shot through the head.
