Sharon Lee Miley, 68, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Sharon was born in Chanute, Kansas on February 18, 1942, the daughter of Frank and Eva (Shepard) Gossett.
She graduated from Chanute High School.
She was united in marriage to Gordon Miley on December 23, 1960 in Grove, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.
Sharon was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoying winters in Texas.
Along with her husband Gordon, she is survived by a son, Brian Miley and wife Cheri; a daughter, Susan Rhodes; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald Gossett and wife Vickie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church with Pastor Harry Disbrow officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, KS.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Food Pantry at the Otterbein United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
