MRS. J.M. HATCH PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Occurred Exactly 18 Years After Death of Oldest Son
---Mrs. Jesse M. Hatch for many years a prominent woman of this city, passed away Sunday morning at 5:35 o'clock after a lingering illness.
---Mrs. Hatch had been in ill health for many years but was well enough to accompany Mr. Hatch to Orlando, Florida, for a several week stay last winter and returned home somewhat improved in health. However she was taken seriously ill early in the fall and her condition grew steadily worse. Her death occurred on the eighteenth anniversary of the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Hatch, Judge Jay W. Hatch of Detroit.
---Mrs. Hatch was the daughter of Lovett J. and Lucy Ann Willard and was born in Convis township May 30, 1865. The marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Hatch occurred October 7, 1885 and all their married life was lived in Marshall. Their fifty-second wedding anniversary was observed this year on that date.
---Surviving are her husband, Attorney Jesse M. Hatch, and six children, Judge Blaine W. Hatch, Mrs. Beatrice Baker, Mrs. Glenn E. Grant, Mrs. Robert P. McKenzie and Hazen J. Hatch all of Marshall, and Donald M. Hatch of Wyandotte. There are also surviving twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
---Mrs. Hatch was a member of the Episcopal church and Rev. James M. Horton of Adrian will officiate at the funeral service which will be private and will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The burial will be at Oakridge cemetery.
