June Sunshine Meriwether passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010.

Born July 1, 1925, in Everett, Bedford County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Earnest and Mae Florence (Barkman) Weicht.

She was the wife of the late James Afton Meriwether.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy; grandson, Timothy; a granddaughter, Denise Meriwether; three sisters, Iva C. Price and Frances P. Paul and Zona White; and five brothers, Ellis R. Weicht, Charles W. Weicht, Bernard F. Weicht, Oscar L. Weicht, and Edgar C. Weicht.

She is survived by a son, James Patton Meriwether and his wife, Georgia; a daughter, Margo Meriwether-DeMario-DeSimone and her husband, Vincent; grandchildren, Lalenya, Kimberly, James, Emily, and Erin Meriwether; and Gina and Alaina DeMario; and great- grandchildren, Kody Howe, Marlea Olands, Joshua Meriwether, AJ Harrison, and Giovanni and Laila DeMario.

June, known by her siblings as Emily, is survived by four sisters, Martha V. Stocklas of New Egypt, N.J., Fay R. Smith of Annville, Pa., Donna M. Foor of Everett, Pa., and Barbara A. Crager of Orlando, Fla.

A graduate of Everett High School, June was previously employed by the New Jersey State Hospital, and the Yardley Inn.

Funeral services and burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon, Pa. will be private.
