Grant L. Downs, 77, of Harrold died Friday, Nov. 19, 1982, at the Rapid City Rehabilitation Hospital.
Rosary services are tonight (Monday) at 7:30 p.m. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Harrold.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Harrold with Rev. Paul Bachman and Rev. Paul Morgan officiating.
Interment is in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery at Harrold.
Downs was born Nov. 7, 1905, at Willow Lake to Charles and Pearl (Luckhurst) Downs.
He married Gladys Dromey Oct. 31, 1931, at Blunt. They farmed for many years in the Harrold area.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Harrold; sons James R. of Phoenix, Ariz., and David J. of Pierre; grandchildren, James Jr. and Holly; three brothers, Ralph and William, both of Kennewick, Wash., and Richard of Chicago; four sisters, Eleanor Cubulka, Dorothy Heublein and Mrs. Tom (Agnes) Ryan, all of Chicago, Ill., and Connie Burk of Philadelphia, Pa.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
A memorial fund has been established for charity, and may be left at Isburg Funeral Home in behalf of the family.
Isburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
