Pauline was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She graduted from St. Anthony's High School in June of 1931 and then attended Wayne University. Pauline and her husband, Whitney, were married Valentines Day in 1942. They were the parents of five children, four sons and a daughter. The family resided for many years in Oakland County, Michigan and had a variety of interests such as building model trains and airplanes, and participating in little league sports. Tragedy struck when their youngest son, Jeffrey, died suddenly after a brief illness. He was five years old. The other children grew to be fine adults and presented Pauline and Whitney with ten beautiful grandchildren.
