Connie A. Beaver, 91, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on March 30, 2011 in Muskogee. He was born on July 20, 1919 to Arch Beaver and Rosie (Moore) Beaver in Viola, Arkansas. At a young age Connie joined the Army and fought in World War II. After returning from the war he met and married Tharon White. Connie spent most of his life as a Firefighter. He also worked as a radio repair man and at the Muskogee water plant. He was a charter member of Keefeton Trinity church and later a member of Lawrence Baptist. He was a master gardener, loved to write, and had a passion for music. Connie never stopped educating himself. At one time he pursued a patent for a burglar alarm system. He enjoyed the Friday nights that he spent with his family at the Thunderbird Speedway. He loved attending church and family gatherings. Connie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tharon Beaver; his only son, Connie Albert Beaver, Jr. (Tommy); brothers and sisters, Buna, Curtis, Veda, Jr., Lyndell, Carl and Jim. He is survived by one daughter-in-law, Genneva Kaye (Ginny); grandson, Greg Beaver and wife Twana; grand-daughter, Darla Capps and her husband Jason; great grandchildren, Shane, Dustin, Alanna, Sarah, and Macy; two brothers, Doyle Beaver and his wife Linda, Hershel Beaver and his wife Pat; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hometown Hospice and Broadway Manor. They wish to express a special thank you to Gail Royse for her love, laughter, and care. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Lawrence Street Baptist Church with Pastor David Blake officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Muskogee Firefighters Honor Guard. Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
