Violet Lillian (Dippon) Ramsby, 95, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
Violet was born in Dwight, Ill. on July 1, 1915 to Jesse E. F. Dippon and Lenora (Hahn) Dippon. She married Robert F. Ramsby August 29, 1936. He died March 2, 1989. She is survived by a son, Robert L. (Patricia) Ramsby of Bristol and a daughter, Jean Ramsby (Marshall) Bailey of Elkhart. She has four grandchildren, Jason R. Yoder, of Newburgh, Lance R. Yoder of Goshen, Lauren Ramsby of Elkhart, and Michelle Ramsby of Elkhart. She also has two great-granddaughters, Kate and Sacha Yoder of Newburgh. She has one surviving sister, Hilda Seybert of Fort Wayne.
Violet was preceded in death by three sisters, Lila Cripe, Erna Bray, and Bernice Anglin, and a brother, Delbert "Bud" Dippon.
Violet was a homemaker, a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Goshen, and a member of the Lady Elks of Goshen.
The visitation will be at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen 6-8 pm Tuesday and one hour on Wednesday prior to the 10 am funeral service at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor John Hickey will officiate and burial will be at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Her wishes are that any memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
