THE DEATH OF SAM BARTHOLOMEW
Stockwell, March 25, (special) - Sam W. Bartholomew, 72, died at his home in Stockwell this evening at 5:15 o’clock, following an illness of considerable duration. He had spent his entire life in the region where he died, having been born in Stockwell on June 19, 1861, the son of William and Emily Bartholomew. He married Miss Lydia Russell on December 23, 1886, and the couple engaged in farming, retiring some time ago. Mr. Bartholomew was a member of the M. E. church. Surviving are the widow, two sons, Lee, of Lafayette, and Hobart of Detroit; one daughter, Mrs. Maude Rebman, of Mulberry; a brother, Arpid of Stockwell, and four grandchildren. The body was removed to the Baker funeral home in Dayton. Services will be conducted from the Stockwell M. E. church on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o’clock, with the Rev. C. V. Roush officiating,
