Fabian A. Zelencik, THE HAPPY PAINTER, age 93, of Palos Heights, formerly of Calumet City passed away on March 26 at home. Loving husband of the late Helen Zelencik; father of Linda Zelencik (Bob Toben), Trudy Walta (Tom) and Conrad Zelencik (Kathy Doyle); grandfather to Mara, Lauren, Shane, Brett, Collin and Erin; uncle to many nieces, especially Mary Zelencik, and nephews, especially John Barenie. Fabian served in the Army during WWII in Europe. Lifetime member of Elks, Highland Indiana Lodge #981, American Legion, "Good Guys" Golfers and Czenska Yednota. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 1 from Noon to 9 p.m. at an open house at 7619 W. 124th Place, Palos Heights, IL. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Alexander's Catholic Church in Palos Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in support of OPMD (www.mdausa.org/help/donate).
