Death of Mrs. Mary McBrayne
The sudden death of Mrs. Mary McBrayne occurred Sunday at the family residence on York Street east. Mrs. McBrayne, who was 65 years of age, had spent nearly all of her life in this vicinity, having lived on a Howard township farm up until 17 years ago, when she moved to Ridgetown. Deceased was the widow of Hilliard McBrayne. She was a member of the Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, where she was an active worker. She is survived by three daughter, Mrs. Orville Leatherdale, Mrs. F. McDougall, of Howard, and Miss Minnie, at home; one sister, Mrs. Dane Crawford. of Howard township, and two brothers, Angus Robertson, of Howard, and Dr. Robertson, of Windsor. The funeral took place on Tuesday and was largely attended, testifying to the esteem in which deceased was held. Service at Mount Zion Presbyterian Church was conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.H. Barnett, followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
